Honours amongst Climatech’s apprentices are becoming increasingly commonplace as demonstrated by Climatech’s Ryan Franicevic in the National Apprentice Workskill competitions recently held throughout the country.
The Wallie Askew Workskill Awards are conducted in a number of rounds with the final held as part of the IRHACE (Institute of Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers) conference in Dunedin. A hugely prestigious set of apprentice awards, reserved for third year apprentices, Ryan had to overcome some exceptionally tough competition to secure 1st place in the Regional competition, before going on to win his 3rd place spot in the Nationals.
Congratulations also go to Andy Moran who came 3rd in the Auckland region of the competition.
The competition was created to encourage high standards at all levels throughout the industry, particularly amongst apprentices who are new to the industry, and to introduce them to the activities and membership of IRHACE.
